History
Way In 2011 a new freight company launched onto the Egyptian market. Its name was Transway – a small Egyptian owned and operated company with a very definite strategic plan, to become the largest, most successful player in a future key geographical freight market. A market that would not only become paramount to the future success of Egypt, but one which would rapidly expand to become a central hub in worldwide trade.
Whilst most companies were concentrating on key European freight ports, Transway were steadily building, through acquisition and amalgamation, a dynamic presence throughout the world, with special emphasis on export and import to and from China and the Asian region.
Few years later that plan has become a reality and its rationale a fact. Asia, not Europe, now hosts the world’s four busiest ports of Hong Kong, Shanghai (China), Busan (Korea) and Yantian (Shenzhen) also in China. Trade to and from this region has grown at a dramatic pace with ports such as Shanghai experiencing an incredible 25% annual increase in freight volume.
Transway Logistics International has matched this dynamic regional growth by creating a successful network of company owned offices in Sudan, UAE and affiliated networks throughout the whole of Asia & Europe.
